I am attempting to list every display from the early sixties to the present time as I don/t believe this has been attempted since Barry Kosky published a book on the subject in the early seventies. I am listing the pages by letter as every display on a list would be too much to absorb. I will not be duplicating displays for the sake of it thus only ANERLEY STATION will be listed but not ANERLEY STN. In some cases the same terminal point will be displayed in a different way for clarity ie GOLDHAWK ROAD STATION and SHEPHERDS BUSH Goldhawk Road Station, both will be listed. Unlike the Kosky book I will also be listing the SINGLE DECK displays and at a later stage will be trying to duplicate the single deck displays as some of these are quite ingenious.
If I feel that a display needs an explanation, hovering the mouse over that display will give additional information.
My main source of information is from official blind schedules, copying displays from images on EBAY, personal observation but I will be more than happy to include any display YOU contribute preferably with a photo to confirm. I am not a fan of the latest fad of eliminating qualifying points thus HOXTON will not be listed but HOXTON Baring Street will be. This trend does not seem to be consistent though as PUTNEY GARAGE used to suffice, but now PUTNEY BUS GARAGE appears on Route 14 garage runs, but Route 74 shows PUTNEY High Street all very confusing but at the same time fascinating. I have always had an interest in blinds and as a child used to climb up the pole on the platform of an RT and change the blind, AC and GM buses on the 52 at the St Charles Square stand or the 15 at the Eagle stand. A treat was to "do" a 15 from Upton Park but with an RT rather than an RTW as the RTW only had the 15 and 100 route whereas the RT had the 145, 175 and a few other Eastend routes
